PADI Dive Courses

We at Descend Scuba Diving custom our dive training to suit your confidence and goals. We train with the end result in mind, which means to lay a foundation of high skill and level of experience to prepare you for any future diving that your travel adventures may lead you to. You will be given direct, personal attention and have heaps of Kiwi style fun. Our philosophy on diver training starts with you!

High end, modern styled equipment is provided inclusive for all diving. We are able to offer diver training in Invercargill, Queenstown, Wanaka, Te Anau and Milford Sound.

Open Water Course

The PADI Open water course is where the journey begins. The first level of diver certification that gives you the skills and knowledge to become a fully qualified scuba diver. After this course you can dive anywhere in the world to a depth of 18 meters.
Includes confined water pool sessions, 4 open water dives and thorough knowledge development and materials.
Price depends on group size: 

1 person: $2000, 2 people: $1000 p.p., 3 people or more $900p.p

Advanced Course

Following obtaining the Open Water rating is the Advanced Open Water course and we offer the real deal when it comes to fun for this certification level.
5 dives included. This can be conducted over 2 days diving. Includes mandatory deep and navigation dives and a choice of 3 from: Drysuit, Peak Performance buoyancy, fish ID, Boat or underwater photography.

Drysuit specialty

Stay toasty warm and learn to dive in a drysuit in Milford Sound as part of our tours.
You can choose drysuit tuition as part of the tour or obtain your drysuit specialty qualification.

Drysuit rental and tuition: $100 extra on top of tour price
